Sunshine Blogger Award

I’m excited and honored that my first post of 2018 is celebrating & sharing the excitement of being nominated for a Sunshine Blogger Award!

Firstly, I want to thank Adanye from for this nomination. Please check out her blog. There are some awesome posts on there.

  3. Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
  4. List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.

My answers to Adanye’s questions are:

Where are you from? Describe it!

I’m from Hamilton, New Zealand originally. Currently living out of Auckland, New Zealand.
New Zealand is also known as Aotearoa in Maori which means ‘land of the long white cloud’. Maori and English are the two official languages in New Zealand. As biased as I am, I’m proud to say that New Zealand is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It has every kind of terrain imaginable and is full of picturesque scenery. I’m blessed that my current home is only a few minutes walk from the beach and we’re surrounded by nature walks.

Why did you start your blog?

I started this blog because I really enjoy writing and because I wanted to share with the world the lessons I’ve learned in life in the hopes to inspire and lead people to be more empowered and live happier, more fulfilled lives. I also wrote a bit more about it on my first post, here.

How did you choose your niche?

My niche came naturally as I started putting together my blog.

If you could be any superhero, who would you be and why?

I would be Wonder Woman. Because sometimes, I feel like I’m trying to be her so it would be awesome to have her powers to help me out.

If you could marry a celebrity, who would it be and why?

My answer for this would have been Jean Claude Van Damme a while ago. JCVD is a pretty awesome dude and he’s been one of my favourites since I was young. I had the pleasure of meeting him in 2016 in Australia. Unfortunately, he is married and I should probably go for someone my own age… I guess I’ll have to find a new celebrity crush… one day 🙂

What’s your favorite place where you ever have been. Tell me your reasons.

Paris is absolutely my favourite place! It was my first stop on our trip to Europe and it is filled with so many happy memories. I could happily walk the streets of Paris for days.

Where would you like to live and why?

I am happy living here in New Zealand & don’t have any plans to move. New Zealand is beautiful and peaceful. Plus, it’s close to family and family is important.

What would you do with 1,000,000 dollars?

I would buy a home and travel to Europe 🙂

What’s you best memory from a trip? What’s your worse?

My best memory is dancing with my love at a Lu’au in Hawaii in the rain.
My worst memory… I honestly can’t think of one. Every ‘bad thing’ that happens typically results in something good or memorable.

Sea or mountain? Why?

Both… I love the best of both worlds.

If someone writes a book about your life, what title would it have?

I’m not entirely sure. I’m sure it would be something about multiple personalities given my life as Britenay & Sarah crossing over. I’m open to suggestions if anyone has some! Feel free to comment below 🙂
