Where’d you go?

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything here.

I was caught up for the past year in wanting to make the most of an opportunity I was given. I dedicated my time to it. So much so, I stopped writing, stopped wrestling and stopped progress on plans I had. Something definitely hasn’t been right over the past 12months.

As I came back to this space to take a look at what I’d written previously, this post stood out to me: https://brit.co.nz/a-new-journey-begins/

It was written around this same time last year. Why has this stood out so much? Because, I’m going through practically the same thing, same thoughts, same emotions, same everything right now. Isn’t that funny?

Reading through the blog post and, having recently connected in with my own life coach, I begun to think, “if nothing has changed in the past year, where do I want to be in one year’s time from now?“. Don’t get me wrong, things have changed but I’ve still found myself in the same situation a year on. I don’t want to be finding myself in the same situation again a year from now. It’s time for change. And a time for action.

By engaging with and finding my own life coach, I feel I’ve truly made steps towards progress and change. I found a space where I could clear my thoughts and get set on what I want from life. Looking forward to what’s to come and the journey it will take me on.

I’ve heard people refer to life coaches as “a paid best friend” and some other not-so-nice names. The truth, there’s so much more to a life coach than talking. I don’t know any best friends who call me on my bullshit and encourage me to set bold actions, put myself first and get clear on what I want to achieve, with nothing in it for them other than to see you succeed. I have some great friends + encouraging friends but talking with a life coach is next level. From a 45min discussion, I left feeling the most inspired, confronted and excited I’d felt in a long time.

I knew I was on the right path.

With more to come, I’m going to keep today’s post brief. This is me declaring I’m back. I intend to write again. For me. If you like it, great. If you don’t, that’s cool. Your follows, shares and comments are absolutely welcome! Please also feel free to email me: admin@brit.co.nz

I also plan to get back into wrestling a bit more. I had a big return not long ago and then stepped back out with everything going on, plus a few injuries. I’m now fit, healthy and getting clearer. So, if you’re a fan of the wrestling scene, watch this space. I’ll keep you posted on upcoming events + appearances.
